Title of game: Call Of Duty Black Ops
Types of music used:
This game contains within it a variety of music that plays throughout the game automatically. •From reviews “the general instrumentation we can expect are synths, distortion, and percussion. “Eagle Claw, Pt.1” is the first real dose of music, and it’s a tense action sequence”. So the main tone can be overall described as action to keep you ready and alert for the unexpected. The way that each track leaves off doesn't affect your game play in the sense that it distracts you but its as if each track is a continuation of one large one. The shooting from the game doesn't overpower the soundtrack either so you get the experience that was intended. It gets you feeling that anything could happen. When you are playing the game the sound effects that can be heard are explosions whether it be from a frag or a napalm strike will impress you because it's so realistic that it can make you jump. There are numourous other sound effects used in the game such as when you are hit with a concussion grenade you hear a loud bang followed by a loud screeching sound which blocks out every other sound for a certain amount of time . The sounds within this game are to my liking and obviously those who worked on both sounds and music where aware of what was needed from them. |
